Monastic Immersion Program 2024-2025 Cohort (Mingchee is 2nd from the right)

We warmly invite you to join the Trainee (Anagarika) Ceremony at Redwood Vihara for Mingchee Tan.

This ceremony marks the beginning of a six-to-twelve-month period of immersive monastic training, dedicated to deepening practice, learning, and service, while discerning one’s inner calling with the support of the Sangha.

During the ceremony, Mingchee will formally request training, receive the Three Refuges and Eight Precepts, and take dependence on the Sangha. Please come witness and rejoice in this meaningful moment of transition.
