During this weeklong immersion, we’ll explore four dimensions of deep listening:
- Somatic Listening – grounding awareness in the body
- Empathic Listening – welcoming the full range of our heart’s experience
- Panoramic Listening – attuning to the field that connects us all
- Sacred Listening – opening to the transcendent presence that flows through everything
Through meditation, mindful silence, and the recitation of Guan Yin Bodhisattva’s name—“She Who Listens to the Sounds of the World”—we’ll return to the quiet source of awareness that is always available within us.
Guan Yin embodies Great Compassion, the gentle strength that meets suffering with understanding and care. As we practice together, we learn to listen deeply—to ourselves, to one another, and to the world—and rediscover the compassion that arises naturally from the stillness of the heart.
This immersion/retreat is hosted with Dharma Realm Buddhist University Extension.
